The Best Covid-19 Vaccine incentives

Since the CDC has released the vaccine to the general public, thousands of people have been getting vaccinated. There are many good reasons to get vaccinated such as stopping the spread of a deadly virus, keeping as many people as possible healthy, and finally reaching the end of a global pandemic. However, if that’s not enough, there are various other incentives many companies and states are distributing if you are or will soon be vaccinated in the United States. So, here’s some of what you can get once you are vaccinated.

Many companies are offering incentives to their employees who get vaccinated. For example, Aldi is giving paid time off to their workers that are vaccinated. Dollar General is also doing something similar by offering a stipend for vaccinated workers worth four work hours. Gift cards are also a popular incentive for employers; Publix is giving out $125 gift cards to their vaccinated employees and Acworth, Georgia is offering $200 Walmart gift cards to all of its government employees.

Restaurants are also offering incentives for their vaccinated customers. Today, May 31st, is the last day to get a free dessert at White Castle if you show proof of vaccination. In New York City, you can also get a voucher for a Shake Shack burger if you get vaccinated at one of the NYC mobile vaccine buses and Shake Shack isn’t just stopping there! You can also get a free order of crinkle fries in NYC Shake Shack locations up until June 12 with proof of vaccination. Additionally, if you are in the NYC area, Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island is offering a free hot dog if you stop by the same day you get vaccinated. Other food places offering incentives include Ledo’s Pizza, a Maryland-based food chain, which is giving out one free eight-inch cheese pizza to Maryland residents who have received their first dose of the vaccine at their Annapolis location until June 30 or until they have given out 10,000 pizzas. However, that’s not all you could get if you are in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia)  area. José Andrés, the Spanish chef, is giving out $50 gift cards to his restaurants in the Washington DC area to those who show proof of vaccination. The restaurants include Jaleo DC, Jaleo Crystal City, Oyamel, Zaytinya, and China Chilcano.

The incentives aren’t just from employers or restaurants, there are special incentives if you live in specific states as well. For example, in Illinois, Six Flags announced it will donate 50,000 tickets to two of its amusement parks for those who are newly vaccinated in the state. Additionally, throughout May and June, if you get vaccinated at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field in the state of New York, which is also partnering with the baseball teams the Mets and the Yankees, you may receive a ticket voucher to a 2021 or 2022 regular home game. In other states, such as Maine, people with proof of vaccination can choose from things like a free fishing or hunting license, a wildlife park or state pass, a $20 L.L. Bean gift card or an admission ticket to see the Portland Sea dogs or the Oxford Plains Speedway races. And if free money sounds good to you, West Virginia will soon be offering a $100 savings bond to every vaccinated resident between 16 and 35 years old.

My favorite incentive, however, is the one we are offering here at Necessary Behavior as part of our Vaccine campaign. If you send a picture of your vaccine card to hello@necessarybevaior.com you will receive 10% off any order in the Necessary Behavior shop! Whether you are getting a cool incentive or not, getting vaccinated is something you can do to keep everybody safe and healthy. We here at Necessary Behavior encourage everyone to get vaccinated if they can so we can be one step closer to a #ImmunizeNation.
