UI/UX Design Internship

Interns are expected to support Necessary Behavior’s website and app development by maintaining content, updating pages, and ensuring accessibility through alt-text and error checks. Interns will also assist in designing and building new pages, including our workshop page and other updates, and participate in wireframing, prototyping, and mockups to enhance user experiences. While unpaid, college credit can be awarded if enrolled in university/college.

This internship is unpaid.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to participate for 2-10 hours per week for 3 months (opportunity to extend into a staff role after 3 months)

  • Attend meetings every other week with the NB team

  • Attend a once a month meeting with the UI/UX Department

  • Upload 1 article each week

  • Provide regular feedback on our website’s design and functionality

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proficient Google Drive skills

  • An appreciation of art, beauty and a keen sense of aesthetics to drive design

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

  • A strong interest in design

  • Experience working with Squarespace and Figma (preferred but not required)
