Zodiac Sign Characteristics
Being an Aries means being represented by the ram. Being the first zodiac of the zodiac wheel, being represented by the ram gives preface to how headstrong you are. When an Aries wants something, they usually go and get it with minimal hesitation. Aries are known to be impulsive and hot tempered towards anyone who crosses them with bad intention. You can be described as a dominant personality, being passionate about whatever endeavors you are into. An Aries downfall is their own temper, being wild and untamable if not controlled.
Aries “The Rams” (March 21st - April 19th)
Taurus is a very earthy grounded sign known to be represented by the bull. The bull is traditionally a very stubborn and headstrong animal, charging at those who dare to get in its way. This is exactly how a Taurus acts in the real world, being very stubborn towards accomplishing their goals and feeling resentment towards anyone who tries to spite them. At their best, they are very helpful and protective towards the people they love. Ruled by the sign of Venus, they also have a romantic side at their core yet tend to not show it. Being rooted in Earth, they are very patient and hate being rushed. Tauruses could also be regarded as the philosophers of the zodiac, represented by The Hierophant in tarot.
Taurus “The Bulls” (April 20th - May 20th)
Gemini, being represented by the Lovers in tarot, and known as generally representing the Twins in the zodiac, is a very flexible sign. They are often so indecisive it can seem like you are speaking to two people at once, hence this zodiac representing the concept of duality. Geminis are naturally curious and sociable individuals. Being a mutable air sign, they are very open minded, communicative, and witty. Their downfall comes in regards to gossip, with them being very talkative, to the point where they can seem two faced. This can make them seem “fake” or “superficial.”
Gemini “Twins” (May 21st - June 21st)
Cancer “The Crab” (June 22nd-July 22nd)
If you are a Cancer, you were most likely nicknamed “the crybaby” of the zodiac at a young age. Represented by a crab, being watery in element, and cardinal in mode, Cancers are very in tune with their emotions. In fact, one might say that they are too attached to their emotions or are overly emotional. Represented by the Chariot in tarot. Cancers use both their heads and their hearts when it comes to decisions (mostly their hearts.) This sign gives off a motherly overbearing yet nurturing energy which can make them come across as the “mom friend” of the group.
If you are a Leo, you are known for your pride and are represented by the lion, as well as the tarot card Strength. Leos love attention, drama, and are stereotypically known as the divas of the zodiac. They require attention and stability in their relationships, but also want a flair for the dramatic considering they are a fire sign with a fixed mode. At their best, Leos are loyal and overprotective of the people they love, as well as being confident and ambitious. Their downfall is their pride, considering they can get overly egotistical if a situation arises.
Leo “The Royals” (July 23rd - August 22nd)
If you are a Virgo, you are known for your organization and cleaning skills, that being the biggest stereotype of your sign. Being an earth sign with a mutable mode, you are more flexible and unconventional in ideas and beliefs compared to a Taurus or a Capricorn. Your work style is also more laidback, giving people leeway into how they want to do their jobs if you’re managing a business (as most Earth signs aspire to do) Being a Virgo, you also have a soft side for your friends and family, wanting to always be there for them to offer any advice. Virgos are also known for being perfectionists and wanting everything done in the right way, but this does not necessarily make one insanely stubborn or rigid.
Virgo “The Maidens” (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Libra “The Justs” (September 22nd - October 23rd)
Libras are represented by the scale in the zodiac, displaying their like and want for balance. Being a cardinal air sign, they thrive on creating an aesthetic life for themselves as well as maintaining order and peace. They do not do well with drama and confronting others, causing it when someone crosses them or disturbs their inner peace. Being represented by the scales, they can be between two extremes. Libra is ruled by Venus, making Libras romantic and having an overall “love for love.”
Scorpio is a water sign, represented by the animal scorpion. Much like a scorpion, they will use their stinger in order to take their revenge against anyone who wrongs them. At their best, they are very social and tend to become queen bee’s of their work/social settings. Although, they are not to be confused with open books. They keep their personal lives very secretive and only open up once you have gained their trust. They are possessive in love and like to know where a person’s loyalty lies. Represented by The Death card in tarot, Scorpios are all about how to bring about stable yet substantial change.
Scorpio “The Stingers” (October 23rd - November 21st)
A Sagittarius can be described as the “life of the party.” As a fiery mutable sign, wherever they tend to go, adventure follows. At their best, they are creative, spontaneous, funny, and sarcastic. If you cross them and end up on their bad side, they can become temperamental and moody. This does not last because they are easygoing individuals and are not keen on grudge holding. If you need a partner in crime, this sign is your go to. Represented by Temperance in tarot, this sign is all about going with the flow.
Sagittarius “The CenTaurs” (November 22nd - December 21st)
If you are a Capricorn, you are known for being very traditional work/goal oriented, as well as being the literal goat of the zodiac signs. (Goat can either represent the animal or the acronym G.O.A.T. , take it as it resonates) Known for being a cardinal Earth sign, they are usually the ones to start and lead projects at work. At their best, Capricorns are very devoted to their jobs, families, friends, and significant others. At times, they can be a bit cold and reserved as well as displaying stubborn behaviors. But overall their kind attitude, humor, and heart of gold make up for any negative characteristics they may display.
Capricorn “The GOAT” (December 21th - January 20th)
Aquarius is the 11th sign in the zodiac wheel. Ruled by Saturn & Uranus. Fixed Air. It’s symbolized by the Waterbearer - a god who pours water on his community for spiritual healing. As the oldest of the air trio, Aquarius’ mission is of a “godly” role in human development. Saturn and Uranus gift Aquarius with a “postcard from the future” and innovate to reflect the core mission in human connection - in a shocking, yet savvy way.
Aquarius “The Water Bearers” (January 20th - February 18th)
Pisces, being the last zodiac within the zodiac wheel, take into consideration every trait of each sign. They have a bit of every zodiac sign within them. Though, they are primarily known for their very vivid imagination and creativity. Being represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions, a Pisces will be flaky and discerning of where they choose to put their energy into, also combining this with a hint of general indecision. Being born under this zodiac means you will be empathetic and compassionate at heart, but at your best you will also be able to protect yourself from those who are trying to take advantage. Represented by The Moon in tarot, Pisces represents the sign of intuition and uncovering the unknown.
Pisces “The Mystics” (February 19th - March 20th)
