1. Buddy (Since August 28)

2. Onslaught (Since September 4)

Onslaught hits theaters on September 4 and is directed by Adam Wingard. The movie follows an Army sniper who must protect her young daughter after a group of genetically engineered supersoldiers escapes into the desert. If this faster-paced sci-fi horror with a military edge interests to you, you should definitely mark this on your calendar! 

3. Hope (Theatres September 9)

Hope is directed by Na Hong-jin, and the movie follows police officers and hunters who attempt to track down a mysterious creature that has been terrorizing a remote Korean village. If mysterious creatures and unsettling international horror captivates you, this should be something you check out in theaters!

4. Don’t Move (2026) (Theatres September 11)

Don’t Move is directed by Maclain Nelson, and the movie follows a church group on a retreat in the Ozark wilderness. This group then becomes the target of a prehistoric spider that hunts by detecting vibrations. If survival horror and terrifying creatures interests you, this is a movie you shouldn't let slip under your radar! 

5. Resident Evil (Theatres September 18)

Resident Evil is directed by Zach Cregger, and the movie follows a hospital delivery driver who finds himself caught in a terrifying night of chaos while trying to deliver an important package. This is a video-game-inspired horror film, and if monster-filled survival stories appeal to you, save this one for your next movie night.

6. Never After Dark (Theatres September 25)

Never After Dark is directed by Dave Boyle and follows Airi, a medium who helps restless spirits, as she investigates a mysterious apparition at an isolated house and uncovers a much more dangerous threat. If supernatural mysteries and atmospheric Japanese horror fascinates to you, get ready to see this one on the big screen.

7. Victorian Psycho (Theatres September 25)

Victorian Psycho, a movie-adaptation of Virginia Feito’s book, is directed by Zachary Wigon, and the movie follows a young governess who arrives at a remote Victorian estate to begin working for a wealthy family, only to find herself surrounded by increasingly disturbing events. If gothic settings, psychological horror, and creepy Victorian mysteries spike your curiosity, make a note to see this movie.

8. Other Mommy (Theatres October 9)

Other Mommy is directed by Rob Savage. The movie follows an eight-year-old girl who encounters a sinister entity that looks and sounds exactly like her mother, turning her home into a place of constant fear. This movie may remind viewers of the Other Mother in Coraline, so if psychological horror and creepy supernatural stories appeal to you, you should consider this your next trip to the movies.

9. Crawlers (Theatres October 16)

Crawlers is directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández. The movie follows the residents of an apartment building who become trapped inside during a quarantine as a deadly spider infestation rapidly spreads throughout the complex. Similar to Don’t Move, if creature features and claustrophobic survival horror enthrall you, this is another movie you should grab your tickets for at the theatre. 

10. Werwulf (Theatres December 25)

Last but not least, Werwulf is directed by Robert Eggers, and the movie takes place in 13th-century England, where a mysterious creature begins stalking the foggy countryside. Eggers has directed several well-known horror movies, including Nosferatu (2024), The Witch, and The Lighthouse, so if gothic horror, werewolves, and Eggers’ distinctive style intrigues you, you should watch this in theaters!
